So, you're able to start your run with the press of a button and watch your time and distance clearly display on one screen, with your calories and pace on another. Or, if you prefer, you're able to customize the Forerunner 10's settings to show pace and distance on the same screen. Another useful feature that's been built into the watch is the feedback provided during various stages of your run. For example, at each mile the watch beeps and a screen flashes your time for that mile. Once you complete your run and save it, you'll see a summary of how you performed. This breakdown shows your total time, distance, average pace, and calories burned. The watch will even alert you when you've reached your personal goals, such as fastest mile or longest run to date. Additional training tools include a 'virtual pacer' that compares your current running pace to your target pace, and you have a run/walk feature that becomes helpful if you're just starting your run or plan to take walking breaks along the way. You're also able to upload your runs to Garmin Connect through your computer. So, with this free software, you're able to see your runs on a map, get more details, and share running information with your peers, partners, or coach.
